Beginners Course: Summer 2024
Our next beginners course will be held on Monday 17th June 2024, 19:00 – 21:00, for 4 consecutive weeks, concluding on Monday 8th July 2024. The course will be held indoors at Prattens Sports & Social Club, Charlton Lane, Midsomer Norton, BA3 4BD. Completion of the course can lead straight to membership of South Wansdyke Archery club, please see Membership & Subs for details, were equipment can remain on loan for a period for time.
The course is suitable for adults & juniors (over 11 yrs). At a cost £60. This includes instruction by ArcheryGB qualified coaches & all equipment hire.
Juniors (under 18 yrs) must be accompanied by an adult at all times, & under 11 yrs can only take part if a parent is shooting with them.
We offer a Discount of £20 for 1 adult & 1 junior participating in course together.
We offer a Discount of £10 for who has previously attended the course and would like to refresh their skills and knowledge.

Boost Archery Course
The Boost Archery Course comprise 4 session guiding all club members, but especially novices, through the following themes:
- Introduction and Goal Setting
- Posture and Alignment
- Execution and Equipment
- Execution, Bow Tuning and Competition
- Stabilisation
- Practice and Evaluation
The sessions will take place every two week, to enable participants to practice and develop what they have learnt in the intermediate weeks. If you are interested, please contact one of the club coaches.
